They are used to make kimonos, household products and accessories . It is an easy to handle and very resistant fabric, cool during the summer and warm for the winter. Its wrinkles are characteristics of the fabric itself . Additionally, the more you use it, the softer it becomes and its texture varies.
Our Aizu fabrics have been made entirely in Japan following traditional techniques. They are 100% cotton and there are several colors available .
The fabrics come pre-cut and the measurements are 37 x 50 cm.
These fabrics can be washed in the washing machine.
Warning: Aizu fabrics shrink approximately 8% in length and 2% in width. when they are washed. Traditionally, when kimonos or clothes are made with them, it is recommended to wash them with hot water before using them. Dark fabrics can fade, so it is advisable to wash them separately from other colors the first two or three times.
